I Want You Now And Always

How is everybody doing? After all the terrible rain and flood, I do hope all of you from Philippines, as well as your family, are doing well. For that three days of non-stop rain, I was stuck at my friend's house after we went out for an event. But more on that later. I am in a vacation for the whole month of August, which means I have a lot of time in my hands to catch up with my blog posts; I actually have a few pending. Aside from that, I am also hoping to be able to catch up on my reading. I haven't been able to finish a book for a few months now, so I'd like to read a few this month. I have quite a selection--books I have been buying the past months and some, gifts from my friends. I have a Marquez, Palahniuk, Eggers, Eugenides, Lightman, to name a few. Which one would you suggest to help get me back on track? I'd like a very engaging and exciting writing, please. I am currently (still) reading The God of Small Things, and if you've read it, you'd know it is not the easiest thing to absorb.

I'm really looking forward to the rest of this month! Just thinking about all the things I can do excites me. And most of all, I'm thrilled about the idea of not having to constantly worry about work output. Because yes, I worry a lot. I worry about everything. I think this month is more of a mental vacation other than anything else, given the number of out-of-town trips I have planned with my friends and family. It would surely be physically (and financially) draining, but undoubtedly all worth it. If all works according to plan, and I really hope they do, I'll finally be seeing Vigan this month! I've always wanted to go there.

Anyway, I've been listening to this playlist by Underwater peeps for the past hour. It's a bizarre set perfect for this bizarre weather we've been having. AND, it's set-off by Ice Choir's song from their debut album, Afar. Give it a whirl, because I just love this musical genius to pieces.
