You're just like your father

   Passion Pit, "Moth's Wings"

You're just like your father
Buried deep under the water
You're resting on your laurels
And stepping on my toes
Whose side are you on?
What side is this anyway?
Put down your sword and crown
Come lay with me on the ground

You come beating like moth's wings

Spastic and violently
Whipping me into a storm
Shaking me down to the core
But you run away from me
And you left me shimmering
Like diamond wedding rings
Spinning dizzily down on the floor

There's really nothing to say, except that I am so crazy over Passion Pit right now. I downloaded their discography right away after I came across their new single, Take A Walk, on Pitchfork, which I wrote about in my music blog. Moth's Wings is such a beautiful song. I heard this is a favorite of John Mayer's, not that I care. But yeah, his music's pretty awesome, unlike him.

Oh, and yeah, it's my birthday today. No big deal. The most special this day is gonna get is the fact that I am wearing my Pains De Corps band shirt. In my bed. With a laptop. Doing stuff on the internet I practically do everyday. No big deal.
