Never a Hansel without a Gretel

Have I told you how most of the times I wish I could be lot less like me and be lot more like you? Like sunlight through open white French windows on a perfect Sunday morning, Rather than a demitasse of scorching bitter espresso on a rainy evening.

I wish I could be lot less like me, and be lot more like you. You, a lucky star, a mesmerizing light from the heavens, pointing some lost girl towards her path. Like wise Hansel, leaving breadcrumbs through the cruel forest, so we may find our way back.

Why can't I be lot more like you, a daffodil dancing with the wind? And be lot less like me, another grass in this sea of meadow? Because even though I may seem like the sturdy earth, where everything is built upon and every life sustained, you on the other hand are like the refreshing waters, pure and life-giving; though often times taken for granted - forgetful that you can be thicker than anything else, with the natural ability to wash away, and replenish what was ruined.

Still, one can't exist without the other. Without the waters, what will replenish the earth? And without the earth, where will the waters rest upon? And yet they don't understand why we're inseparable.

Have I told you how most of the times I ask, Why can't I be lot less like me and be lot more like you? But you see, the answer is quite so simple -If I was, then we wouldn't have to live for each other.

I love you, Bestfriend.
To Pluto, round and round and back.
Happy Birthday. =)
